Hey there! I'm Jessica, owner/lead planner of Events by Jess! I graduated from UW-Stout with a degree in Hospitality Management, with a concentration in Event Management. After college, I worked full time as a Catering Sales Manager while having a part time job as a Wedding Coordinator at the James J. Hill Reference Library. This is where I fell in love with weddings.
After working on weddings every day, I got the idea of creating an Instagram page called Events by Jess. I wanted to show my friends and the world the weddings I had been working on. After a few months of posting, I was getting messages from college friends asking to help plan and coordinate their weddings. I charged very little at first, but as more and more inquiries came in, I realized I needed to make EBJ an official business.
Since I started planning and designing events, I have never looked back. I love what I do and I can't imagine doing anything else. Creating lifelong memories for clients is what I do best. I fully invest myself into every wedding I do. I focus on every detail, making sure that your wedding is a one of a kind experience that becomes a cherished memory for a lifetime.
My favorite part of owning my own business is connecting with my couples, not just as clients, but as friends. I create relationships with all of my couples so I am able to understand their vision and make their dream wedding a reality.
My clients describe me as having a warm & bubbly personality, and I'm known for being organized, efficient, and to the point. I love anything & everything wedding related, and I am here to make the wedding planning process fun and stress free!
....And I can't forget about Co-Owner's Louie & Bella! They are the heart and soul of Events by Jess, and are the best sidekicks a girl could ask for. We absolutely love when our couples include their furry friends in their wedding. It makes for the cutest photos!! Sometimes photos of Louie & Bella pop up in your email inbox to give you a smile! You may even be lucky enough to meet them at a planning meeting.
